Vince Wilfork signs up with
UFC
Vince Wilfork
has signed a contract to compete during the off-seaon
with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
"It's
always been my dream to compete in a less rule-oriented
setting," said Wilfork, the 583 pound New England
Patriots nose guard. "I believe I have
shown hints of my versatility, starting with my
hit on J.P. Losman and, most recently, my eye poke
on Brandon Jacobs."
Teammate Rodney Harrison was quick to point out
that Wilfork is not a dirty player.
Wilfork, who's
also been penalized during the season for such relatively
mundane infractions such as tripping, said that
he does not plan on changing his relationship with
the fans.
"I will continue to autograph any and all things
for the fans. Heck, one of 'em might even have a
pizza for me!"
