Irrefutable proof of an
upcoming Pats loss
In a rancorous
press conference on the M.I.T. campus in Cambridge,
Massachusetts, an enthusiastic Dr. Michael Klugerman
announced the results of complex analysis he had
just completed.
"I've run the numbers and, believe me, I can
run the numbers," Dr. Klugerman explained .
"The New York Giants are a shoo-in for a Super
Bowl win - even without the points!"
The Giants and the New England Patriots will be
competing in the Super Bowl on February 3rd.
The Patriots have not lost this season, having won
all 16 regular season games and 2 playoff games
against undermanned and injured teams. The
Patriots easily defeated teams early on in the season
but have failed to cover the spread in 7 of their
last 8 games.
In their game
against the Ravens they were the recipients of some
late favorable calls; in another game career backup
A. J. Feeley almost led Philadelphia past the Patriots.
In their final game in the regular season against the
New York Giants the often questioned Patriots defense
allowed 35 points - the most they'd allowed all
season.
Asked by a young man from Westminster whether he'd
be willing to bet on the game, Dr. Klugerman responded:
"Window closed!" and scurried off the
podium.
