New England unveils new
practice jerseys
The New England
Patriots have come out with a new practice jersey
design. The jerseys will be worn by the Patriots
for the first time during Super Bowl warm ups on
February 3rd.
"We've gone with a bit
of a retro look," said Patriots General Manager
Scott Pioli. "We actually had a heated
internal debate over which style to use. It
was probably our most controversial decision since
the Moss trade."
The jerseys underwent rigorous
testing including exhaustive use during a stretching
session by Doug Barrett, a noted sound engineer
from Medford, Massachusetts. "I didn't
hear any odd noises at all," Barrett gleefully
proclaimed.
Mr. Barrett then turned
to the camera and said: "Look, Pablo; a new
jersey!" pointing to a giant "yes"
on the front of the shirt, then swiftly moving his
index finger upward.
